A Story of Renewal and Relief
Many of my patients come to me after feeling overlooked or misunderstood, and one woman’s story stays with me. At 36, she was battling depression, anxiety, and chronic back pain that left her drained and
unmotivated. Years of negative experiences with other providers had made her hesitant to seek help again, but she took one more chance. During our visits, I listened carefully, not just to her words, but to what had been missed.
What emerged was a clear picture of untreated ADHD, the real source of her struggles. Once we addressed it with the right treatment and support, her anxiety eased, her pain subsided, and she began to thrive at work and at home. She no longer needed pain medication and described feeling calmer, lighter, and finally in control of her life. Stories like hers remind me that healing starts with being heard.
